To Whom It WILL Concern
If you have followed this devotion then you are familiar with my long spiritual battle of 2013. Towards the end of my trial, I began writing the things that you’re about to read. Until a few weeks ago, I didn’t feel the release to publish this devotion. My prayer is that as you read, you will receive strength for today and encouragement for tomorrow.
To whom it will concern,
For quite some time, I have been receiving mail from your address. Sadly, I believed the things that you wrote in your letters. You persistently wrote words of discouragement and doubt which I now realize were all lies cleverly woven around facts. So, for all of the lies that you have sent my way, I am sending a response that will concern you.
You lied to me when you said that prayer would not change “my hopeless situation.” You said that my prayers “were not being heard.” You said that “No feeling meant no results.” But when the feeling was gone and faith was the only thing I could cling to, I felt my spiritual roots growing deeper. Did you not know that a starving root system will spread out and go deeper than ever before? In my deepest valleys, I found reservoirs of strength that I never knew existed.
As my trial became more intense, you convinced me to retreat into emotional isolation. You lied when you told me that isolation was my friend. I now know that it was my worst enemy. You didn’t tell me that isolation would blind me to the healing power of communication. I now realize that communication is a God ordained privilege, which is why I need a better prayer life more than ever before.
You said that being stressed was being responsible. I now realize that stress drains the energy of the soul and body and prevents me from truly being responsible.
I have rediscovered the power of the written Word. The very Son of God fought His battle by saying “It is written.” So let me remind you of God’s written Word.
It is written, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
It is written, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
It is written, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37
It is written, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Matthew 24:35
I may not know your face, but I know your disguise! Your disguise is Anxiety, Infirmity, Depression, Oppression and Torment.
You can laugh when you say that I haven’t received my healing. But I read about ten lepers that Jesus healed…as they went to show themselves to the priest. They were healed as they went. So Satan, I don’t know how far I must walk until I am healed, but I’m going to keep walking and holding to the steady hand of faith until I received my change!
What you meant for evil, God has turned it around for my good! To whom it will concern, you predicted that I would be a weaker Christian by this time but I feel stronger in Christ with every step I take. I can now say with confidence that the God of the mountain is the God of the valley!! Praise the mighty name of Jesus!!
Sincerely,
A Renewed Christian!
